Entertaining with Balloon Sculpting Volume 1 starring Will Roya is a great DVD for beginners looking to get into the world of Balloon Sculpting. I will not say it's the best beginner DVD (unless Will slips me a bribe) but I like it. Unlike other beginner DVDs Will starts off with single balloon figures but then moves onto Multi Balloon figures like the Giant Spider. At the end of the DVD he shows a review of the twists that a beginner will use more than the rest of the DVD. I wish I had this back when I started twisting. Now the reason an advanced balloon twister should buy this DVD is Will teaches some bits of business that will be good for any balloon show and he shows the wearables which are my favorite part of this DVD. With very little practice you can build a show using the Bits of Business and the Wearables on this. At the end of the DVD you will learn more about Will and why he made this DVD set in a interview done by S. Frank Stringham.

Volume 2

This volume is billed "Intermediate Multiple Balloon Figures" but I think it should be called "Moving from Beginning to Intermediate Balloon Figures." S starts off teaching you how to blow up the balloon and shows how he transports his balloons. From there he shows how to make a pair of pretty quick eyeballs and uses them all throughout the DVD. He starts simple by making a Multi Balloon Dog, and Lion, etc then moves on to more advanced stuff like a Bicycle and Race Car. I must admit that the race car is very different. With a little thought it could be a "Lightning Car." He then goes on to show some fancier wearables such as a Tiara, an Angel, a Devil costume and even a Balloon Bikini. There is a review of the twists at the end of this DVD as well as some Outtakes, Pictures of the Balloon Bikini, and some other Pictures of Balloons.

Volume 3

Volume 3 is really three teaching segments on one DVD. In section one S teaches some basic Weaving. I like the way he shows how to weave then shows what can be done instead of weaving the whole thing and taking up an hour of the DVD. This is not a weaving DVD he is just showing you the basic weaving steps and what it looks like in the end. You will have to use your imagation and create your own designs but you will learn how to weave. S then moves on to make a few Balloon Toys. He makes balloon balls instead of just using super balls but they work just as well although they are a little more time-consuming, and he also makes noise-makers. The soccer ball is a combination of weaving and an 11" round. In section three he teaches letters and numbers, this will be great if you want to weave a background and then spell out the birthday child's name. You can also use this to promote yourself by spelling out your name and phone number out of balloons and having it behind you as you perform. At the end of the DVD S includes a more personal section about his time on "Americas Got Talent."

Volume 4
with S Frank Stringham

Volume 4 is my favorite DVD of this set because I love Hat DVDs. Again he starts simple with a Flower hat and moves along to bigger hats. I like the "Lost My Marbles Hat" best of all that he shows, although I prefer to use Super Balls instead of balloon balls, but you decide what's best for you. The cartoon section is perfect, he does a sponge and a mouse guy, and the body of the mouse is the best I have ever seen. The sponge wasn't the best I've seen but was still good. Above all and what makes this tape worth the price of the four volume set is the Super Hero, it can be adapted to ANY Super Hero with just a little thought. I have changed this from a Super Hero to a famous cartoon builder and also a cartoon explorer. This figure is very versatile with very little thought. It can even be turned into a Prince to go along with all those Princesses that are so popular these days. At the end of this DVD is a very ... different music video starring "One Eyed Jack."
